These simple tips work for free search engine traffic.
1. Use the “ALT And TITLE Attributes” to describe every picture on your site. Be sure to look at the examples on the bottom of this page.
2. I like to name my pictures according to what is in the content of the photo.
3. If you know how to embed www.your-site-name-here.com onto a picture that little trick goes along way. In Google there is game that challenges people to describe what they see in new photos. If your web site name embeded on the photo the contestants will type www.whatever-your-site-name-is.com as part of there description.
You probably will get some free traffic just by doing the embed trick on existing picture you already have.
Proof: this is an example; go to your favorite search engine and do an image search for wet Pomeranian. I would be willing to bet you that one of my client’s photos is in the top 10 images that you see. I just did a search on Bing and Google I found that one picture is #5 on Google and #2, #6 and #9 on Bing.
4. Use the “ALT and TITLE Attributes” correctly.
